The State Home Department has declared the 4th of May, 2024 (1st Saturday) as a holiday for the State Government offices located in Kohima in lieu of the working day on 24th of February, 2024 (4th Saturday) on account of the 4th Session of the Fourteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly declared vide this Department’s Notification of even number dated 16/2/2024.

  • Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Vineet Kumar, has notified that in view of the deplorable road condition in Peren District, plying of timber loaded trucks shall be prohibited within the district from 5th May 2024 till further order.
  • Additional Deputy Commissioner Tizit, Zhoi Lohe has informed that there will be temporary restrictions for the movement of heavy vehicles in view of the damage caused to the temporary Bridge constructed adjacent to Pongma Bridge (alternate route via Namtola Charali Assam Lahdoigarh – Jaboka – Pentom Junction, Tizit/Mon) due to incessant/heavy rain.

              Therefore, all the transporters and travellers have been advised to avoid the said route w.e.f 29th April 2024 till the restoration of the temporary bridge at Pongma River.
