Kohima : Nagaland will be represented by 22-year-old Nikali K Shohe at the prestigious Femina Miss India 2026, scheduled to be held on April 18 in Bhubaneswar.

Hailing from Philimi village and currently residing in Akuhaito town, Shohe has emerged as a promising talent from the state, having secured several accolades in recent years. She was first runner-up at Miss Northeast 2026 and previously won titles including Miss Nagaland 2024 and Miss Sumi 2024.

Beyond her achievements in pageantry, Shohe aspires to serve as a Drug Control Officer, reflecting her interest in public service and community welfare.

Speaking about her experience at the national platform, she described the journey as transformative, saying it has pushed her to learn continuously and step outside her comfort zone. Representing her state, she added, has been a strong source of motivation to perform at her best.

In a message to the people of Nagaland, Shohe emphasised the importance of staying true to one’s identity, encouraging individuals to move forward with confidence, kindness and authenticity despite challenges and stereotypes.

As she prepares to take the stage, Shohe carries the aspirations of Nagaland, emerging as an inspiration for youth across the region to pursue their ambitions while staying rooted in their cultural identity.
