New Delhi: Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured the Assam government that there will be no shortage of funds and resources for the growth of the agriculture sector and rural development initiatives in the state.

The assurance was given during a meeting with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi on Monday. The two leaders reviewed the implementation of various central schemes and discussed measures to further strengthen agriculture and rural infrastructure across Assam.

According to an official statement, the meeting focused on assessing the progress of programmes being implemented by the Agriculture and Rural Development Departments in the state. Discussions also centered on enhancing cooperation between the Centre and the Assam government to accelerate development and improve outcomes for farmers and rural communities.

The Centre reiterated its commitment to supporting Assam’s agricultural growth and rural development efforts through continued financial and institutional assistance.
