New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged citizens to take necessary precautions amid the ongoing heatwave across several parts of the country, emphasizing the importance of staying hydrated and following official advisories.

Addressing the nation during the 134th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s rich and diverse cultural traditions while encouraging people to consume traditional summer beverages that help beat the heat.

He specifically recommended drinks such as aam panna, lassi, buttermilk, and sattu sharbat, describing them as nutritious and beneficial during the summer months.

PM Modi said these traditional beverages not only contribute to good health but also reflect the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat” by showcasing the country’s diverse culinary heritage.

The Prime Minister also appealed to people to remain vigilant during extreme weather conditions and to follow government-issued guidelines to safeguard their health and well-being.
