All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief Badruddin Ajmal sparked controversy during his rally in Rangamati, targeting various political figures and making contentious remarks.

Ajmal directed sharp criticism towards Rakibul Hussain, referring to him as “Blind” and stating that he couldn’t even walk. The derogatory remarks aimed at Hussain added fuel to the political fire in the region.

Not stopping there, Ajmal launched scathing attacks on Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi, labeling him a ‘traitor’ and ‘dumb’. He denounced Gogoi’s recent accusations, defending himself against claims of being a ‘Gaddar’ (traitor) to the nation, and accusing Gogoi of dishonesty.

During his election rally, Ajmal also took the opportunity to tout his achievements, citing developments such as the Phulbari Bridge and medical college, while appealing for votes from the electorate.

In response to Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Dhubri, Ajmal expressed his intent to also attend, remarking, “I will also go to see if people from the Gandhi family come,” suggesting his interest in observing the political landscape.

Accompanied by MLAs Habib Bashir Ahmed Qasimi and Shamsul Huda, along with AIUDF Yuva Morcha central president Zeherul Islam and other party leaders and activists, Ajmal’s rally showcased a blend of political rhetoric and campaign fervor.

The remarks made by Ajmal during the rally have stirred debates and raised eyebrows, further intensifying the political atmosphere in the lead-up to the elections.
