Silchar: Students of Ramanuj Gupta Degree College delivered an impressive performance at the Inter-Institutional Debate Competition organised as part of the Assam University Literary Festival (AULIFE), held on Sunday at Mukta Manch, Assam University, Silchar.

Ruchira Paul, a second-semester student from the Department of English, secured the second position in the competition, while Mukesh Das, a fourth-semester student from the Department of Political Science, earned the third position, bringing recognition to their institution.

The debate was conducted on the thought-provoking motion, “Artificial Intelligence will replace the traditional university learning experience by 2030.” Participants from various educational institutions presented arguments both in favour of and against the proposition, highlighting the opportunities and challenges posed by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence in the education sector.

The event formed a key part of the activities of the Assam University Literary Festival, attracting students, faculty members and literary enthusiasts from across the region.

The achievements of Ruchira Paul and Mukesh Das have been widely appreciated by the college community, with teachers and fellow students congratulating them for their outstanding performances on a contemporary and globally relevant topic.
