Statue of Zubeen Garg to Be Unveiled at Boko on May 20

Guwahati: A 10-foot-tall statue of Assam’s celebrated musical icon Zubeen Garg will be unveiled at Gandhi Maidan in Boko on May 20 in a special ceremony to be attended by noted singer Garima Saikia Garg.

The statue has been created by young sculptor Pulak Rabha along with his team as a tribute to Zubeen Garg’s immense contribution to Assamese music, art, and culture.

The unveiling programme is expected to draw music lovers and admirers from different parts of the region. A series of cultural events have also been planned for the occasion, including ethnic dance performances, devotional prayers, and musical presentations.

Renowned singer Jubilee Baruah will perform during the event, adding to the festive atmosphere of the celebration.
