CHIRANG: A unique boundary wall resembling a stationary train has become a major attraction in Ballamguri village along the India-Bhutan border in Assam’s Chirang district, drawing visitors who stop to take photographs and make social media reels.

At first glance, the structure in front of a house appears to be a train standing on railway tracks. However, it is actually the boundary wall of the residence of Shravan Basumatary and Jelina Basumatary.

The couple, both postgraduates in science, came up with the unusual design to give their home a distinctive look. With the help of local workers, they turned their idea into reality by building a train-shaped boundary wall at a relatively low cost.

The creative structure has now caught the attention of people from nearby areas and beyond. Its realistic appearance has made it a popular spot for photography and social media content.

The unusual initiative has also highlighted how a simple idea, combined with creativity and local skills, can transform an ordinary boundary wall into a public attraction.
