Imphal: A resident of West Bengal allegedly abducted after arriving at Imphal airport escaped from his abductors by pulling the handbrake of the vehicle in which he was being taken away, police said.

The man reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and fled towards security personnel, seeking their help. The incident took place in Naranseina and came to light on September 19.

Police have started an investigation into the alleged abduction and are working to identify and trace the accused.
