Shangshak Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) foiled cross border smuggling of contrabands in  K Asang Khullen village, Kamjong District on 29 January.

Based on specific input, troops of Assam Rifles intercepted three vehicles carrying illegal timber logs being ferried from across the Indo-Myanmar Border.

The recovered timber logs were assessed to be worth Rs 2.4 Crores.

The recovered items along with vehicles and drivers were handed over to the Forest department for further legal action.
