An FIR for investigating the matter raised by Daniel Langthasa MAC, NCHAC for bribing him by someone lodged at Haflong Police station, informed Samuel Changsan, spokesperson BJP, Dima Hasao, Executive Member of Autonomous Council in presence of Executive Members, Ratan Jarambusa, Ramgalungbe Jeme, Nojit Kemprai, Projith Hojai, Members of Autonomous Council Ngulminlal Lienthang, in a press meet held today at his office.

Talking to the media persons EM Changsan said that on the 26th day of July 2021 Daniel Langthasa M.A.C Dima Hasao confessed himself that he was offered a sum of money from someone where he has not disclosed. Langthasa the MAC and a responsible person received the money from someone where he has entertained the person for offering him money which he voluntarily accepted.

He would like to mention here that he being the M.A.C, his duty was to lodge F.I.R against the person who had offered him instead he accepted it and disclose the matter through the news channel i.e. Borail News, Pratidin Time and other local news channel and also in social media through his Facebook.  In all the news channels and in social media Daniel Langthasa has confessed himself that someone has offered him Rs. 1 (one) lakh which he accepted and later on distributed the same to the local people of Haflong Bazar to gain publicity and sympathy of the common people.

He stated that Daniel Langthasa M.A.C Dima Hasao without any clarification has accepted the money from someone which he has confessed before the news channel and general public. By entertaining a person for offering money has given an opportunity to the person to commit the offense. From all these activities of Daniel Langthasa it is clear that his intention was to defame the present Council and gain sympathy from the public.

He stated that due to visiting of C.M Sri Himanta Biswa Sarma and followed by council sessions he could not file the F.IR in due time. Moreover, he along with Executive Member Nandita Gorlosa, I/C Education along with and other executive members of Autonomous Council discussed the issue raised by Sri Langthasa Offering bribes to him by someone and thereafter decided that thorough investigation should be taken up for the allegation stated by Langthasa.

It is, therefore, requested to take necessary action and proper investigation against the allegation raised by Langthasa and accepting the money given to him by someone and also giving chance to commit offence.
