Haflong | Assam Book Fair concludes with promises of holding more book fair

The 7 Day Assam Book Fair Haflong which was started on October 1, concluded on Saturday at Haflong with promises to hold more book fair throughout the state of Assam .

The Book Fare is organised by the Publication Board Assam, Higher Education Dept, Govt. of Assam at Haflong at the premises of Cultural Institute Hall.

The concluding and certificate distribution ceremony was graced by Assam Power Minister Nandita Gorlosa, as Chief guest while Vice Chairman, Assam Publication Board S.Chaliha, District Commissioner, Simanta Kumar Das, Professor, Gauhati University Dr Uttam Bather attended as guests.

All the speakers encouraged the book lovers and students in particular through their enlightening speeches. They also stressed the importance of books in our life and appealed to inculcate the habits of books reading in each and every child.

Later,  all the distinguished guests distributed certificates and prizes to the participants who took part in the competition like debate, extempore speeches, art and painting. More over all the participants were awarded with certificates for participation.
