Aimed to introduce eco-friendly alternatives to conventional plastic bags

The Jalukie Town Council orchestrated a momentous launch event for biodegradable carry bags and products at the Women’s Welfare Hall in Jalukie Town. The event, held on the 31st of August 2023, aimed to introduce eco-friendly alternatives to conventional plastic bags.

Addressing the gathering as the special guest, Vineet Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, commended local entrepreneurs for their efforts in developing these biodegradable carry bags and products. Highlighting their significance as a sustainable substitute for plastic bags, Kumar urged the business community to embrace these eco-friendly options and collaborate with the Town Council in fostering a cleaner and better future.

The event was presided over by EAC Jalukie, Sizin Renttah. The welcome speech and keynote address were delivered by ADC & Administrator of Jalukie Town Council, T.L. Kiusumong Tikhir. An informative presentation on the benefits of biodegradable products was also conducted by Talunibo and Nukuzo, the Proprietor of Warehouse 103.
