Online education cannot be substitute for classroom, believes Prof. Goel

Workout strategies for overcoming the limitations of e-teaching for implementing New Education Policy: Prof. M. M. Goel

“ To implement New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the biggest challenges includes flexible curriculum development of needoeducation that leads to desirable human resources for the Indian economy,” opined former Vice Chancellor Professor M.M. Goel, presently Advisor Public Finance 6th State Finance Commission Haryana and Kurukshetra based Needonomist. He was delivering the valedictory address of the webinar on the topic ‘Teachers Role in Implementation of New Education Policy organised by  BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya in collaboration with NITI Aayog & Bhartiya Shishan Mandal here today.  Dr. Shafali Nagpal Director HRDC  delivered a welcome address and presented a citation on the achievements of Prof. Goel. Prof. Sushma Yadav Vice Chancellor presided over the function.

To ensure quality research, we have to encourage the scholars for making analysis before covid (BC) and after covid (AC) for drawing the policy implications, told Prof. Goel.

To become reflective, we need face to face teaching for wisdom and online education just create interest for that and cannot be a substitute for the classroom, believes Prof. Goel.

We have to work out the strategies for overcoming the limitations of e-teaching and e-learning for implementing, said Prof.Goel.

To compete with the foreign universities, we need to accept the challenge with spiritual training of teachers based on sermons from Gita and Anu-Gita for enlightened global citizenship in Hinglish if not  English language, told Prof. Goel.

The fraternity of teachers have to be ready for all the challenges by becoming street smart teachers (simple, moral, action oriented, responsive and transparent) with effective leadership qualities, told Goel.

We need to reduce the scarcity of teachers by encouraging shadow teachers out of senior students under earn while you learn scheme, told Prof. Goel.
