Imphal | Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday hosted outgoing Chief Secretary Dr Puneet Kumar Goel at his official residence and thanked him for his service to the state.Goel, who was accompanied by his wife, met the Chief Minister on the evening of August 29, ahead of his retirement on August 31.
Singh expressed his gratitude to Goel for his “dedicated and selfless service” to the people of Manipur and acknowledged his role in key administrative efforts during his tenure.
The Chief Minister particularly referred to Goel’s work related to the resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and efforts towards restoring peace in the state. Singh also conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing Chief Secretary for his future endeavours and wished him a long and healthy life.
Goel has served as Manipur’s Chief Secretary since July 21, 2025. His tenure has included administrative efforts focused on public service delivery and the state’s response to the continuing humanitarian and security challenges. With his retirement, the state administration is set for a change at the top bureaucratic level.
