Assam | Attempt to kidnap lady teacher in broad daylight at Cachar thwarted

The lady teacher also narrated that she had been threatened earlier and she is grateful to the public for saving her from the miscreants

A group of 4-5 miscreants tried to abduct a lady school teacher from Srikona area on Silchar-Karimganj National Highway.  On Monday, the locals thwarted the attempt of a group of four / five people to abduct a lady teacher, resident of Rajatilla of Katigorah Constituency while she was going to her school with her father in their own vehicle. She is working at  Banshkandi High School. The lady teacher said that the accused were following them since she started from her home and stopped them near Srikona area of Silchar. 

Seeing the miscreants stopping the car, the locals came forward and helped them and they succeeded to catch one named Fariz Uddin and handed over to the police though others escaped in the Bolero vehicle in which they were following them. 

The Father of the victim Abdul Kalam Azad, a former teacher who was with her at the time of the attempted abduction, said that he knows the kidnappers, they are also the resident of Katigorah, and he alleged that a man named Hasan gave the contract to these kidnappers and paid 5 lacs to abduct her.

The lady teacher also narrated that she had been threatened earlier and she is grateful to the public for saving her from the miscreants.

The captured abductor has incidentally admitted on camera that they were sent by Hasan to abduct the lady. Police are investigating further.
