Silchar: As part of the state government’s flagship Nijut Moina Scheme, ceremonial inaugurations were held on Thursday across several schools in Silchar, where respected guests distributed beneficiary forms to students.
The initiative, aimed at empowering education and supporting girl students, saw participation from distinguished personalities at each venue. The distribution details are as follows:
- Adharchand HS School – Satadal Bhattacharjee – 40 students
- Public HS School – Pulok Das – 151 students
- AC Memorial HS School – Aparna Das – 96 students
- DBTR Phookan HS School – Dr Swapan Sinha – 27 students
- Netaji Vidya Bhawan Girls HS School – Gopal Roy – 32 students
- Zilkadar Ali HS School – Pijush Kanti Paul – 260 students
- DNNK Girls HS School – Basudev Sharma – 352 students
- Govt Boys HS School – Rathindranth Saha – 123 students
- Govt Girls HS School – Bibhash Chakraborty – 348 students
- In total, 1,429 students benefited from the day’s distribution programme.
Organisers expressed special thanks to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu for their vision and commitment towards enhancing educational opportunities for young learners under the scheme.
