Kohima /Nagaland : The International Youth Day was celebrated with fanfare and inclusiveness by the Indian Army for the nation’s young hearts in the North Eastern states of Assam and Manipur. The message carried was the true strength of India lies not in the weapons it wields, but in the courage, dreams, and determination of its youth.
The celebrations were held at Khurkhul Model Standard High School in Imphal West fostering dialogue, awareness, and engagement among students on the evolving role of youth in the digital era. The programme included a debate on the topic “GEN Z in the Digital Age: Masters or Prisoners of Technology” with three participants each speaking for and against the motion.

A special outreach programme titled “A Day with Company Commander” under the theme ‘Join Indian Army’ was also held at Churchandpur district, Manipur.
The event brought together students from Maa Foundation School, Phoenix School, and Living Water High School along with youth representatives from various NGOs in Churachandpur.
Events were also held in Pengri, Tinsukia, Assam with a vibrant celebration inspiring and empowering the young minds of Upper Assam. Students and teachers from Burhi Dihing School gathered in large numbers to take part in a day filled with learning, orientation, and a unique glimpse into military life.
The celebration began with informative sessions where the introduction of students to the role of the Indian Army in nation-building, its diverse career opportunities, and the values of discipline, teamwork, and courage. Adding to the excitement, the Army organised a spectacular weapons display featuring modern equipment such as assault rifles and New generation equipment including drones.
