The commemorative programme, conducted under the aegis of Srikona Battalion, saw enthusiastic participation from around 1,500 citizens, including students, teachers, local residents, and dignitaries. Events were held at NIT Silchar, Kendriya Vidyalaya Masimpur, and several government schools across Manipur’s hill districts.

The collective rendition of Vande Mataram resonated through campuses and community spaces, symbolizing India’s enduring unity in diversity. Participants joined voices to honour the timeless anthem that has inspired generations during the freedom struggle and continues to evoke deep national pride.

Officers of the Assam Rifles said the initiative aimed to reconnect citizens, especially the youth, with India’s cultural and patriotic roots. The event also served to strengthen the bond between the security forces and local communities.

By organizing such initiatives, the Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to fostering national integration and promoting pride in India’s heritage. The Force continues to play an active role not only in ensuring security but also in nurturing the spirit of unity and nationhood across the Northeast.
