Dr. Basudev Singh, president, Manipur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, has described the North East Integration Rally 2026 as an out-of-the-box initiative aimed at bringing together the diverse cultures of the Northeast. The president has expressed strong support for the month-long unity rally being organised by the Knowledge Resource Centre Foundation.

The rally is scheduled to run from January 4 to February 4, covering all eight Northeastern states. Speaking on the initiative, Singh said the campaign seeks to unite people across the region, promote mutual understanding, and create a shared cultural dialogue. He thanked the organisers for conceptualising the rally and said he was pleased to be associated with the campaign.

It may be noted that the Knowledge Resource Centre Foundation and the Manipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding on December 24, 2025, formalising their collaboration for the North East Integration Rally 2026.

The MoU brings together KRC Foundation, a Silchar-based registered organisation, and MCCI, an autonomous trade and commerce body headquartered in Imphal, to jointly support the month-long rally scheduled from January 4 to February 4, 2026.

Under the agreement, MCCI will partner with KRC Foundation to promote trade, tourism, and business opportunities in Manipur through the rally. The non-competitive rally is designed to highlight the cultural diversity of the Northeast, showcase tourism potential, strengthen awareness about infrastructure, and encourage youth participation across the region.

As part of the collaboration, the rally will pass through key locations in Manipur, including Senapati, Imphal, Moirang, and Jiribam. Both organisations will also take part in the North East Integrated Business Summit in Kohima, which is being organised in association with the Investment Development Authority of Nagaland.

Organisers said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to regional integration, cultural exchange, and economic collaboration across the Northeastern states.
