Foundation Stone Laid for 6.10 km Road Project in Lakhipur

Lakhipur: A long-awaited road construction project under the Lakhipur Assembly constituency was formally launched on Monday with the laying of the foundation stone. The project involves the construction of a 6.10 km road from Liloyanpur Khasia Punji to Monkush under Dilkhush GP, with an approved cost of Rs 10.81 crore under the RIDF-XXXI scheme.

Minister Kaushik Rai participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony and termed the project a major step towards improving connectivity in the area. He expressed sincere gratitude to Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for approving the project and for fulfilling a long-standing demand of the local people.

The new road is expected to significantly ease transportation, improve access to essential services, and support overall development in the region.
