Guwahati: Assam’s daughters have brought immense pride to the state by successfully scaling Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, through courage, determination, and perseverance.

Among them, Rupamoni Gogoi from Lakhimpur achieved the remarkable feat after months of hard work and preparation. Her successful ascent of Mount Everest has been widely praised, with many describing her journey as an inspiration for young people across Assam.

Congratulating her on the achievement, well-wishers said her success reflects the strength and determination of Assamese women in the field of adventure and mountaineering.

Another proud daughter of Assam, Vanita Timungpi, also earned recognition by leading an all-women international mountaineering expedition organised by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The expedition was aimed at promoting women empowerment and encouraging greater participation of women in challenging fields such as mountaineering and adventure sports.

Her leadership and successful participation in the Everest mission have drawn appreciation from different quarters.

The achievements of both Rupamoni Gogoi and Vanita Timungpi have become a moment of pride for Assam and are expected to inspire many young women to pursue their dreams fearlessly.
