Silchar : A minor girl was recovered from a hotel in the Lathigram area of Cachar district on Tuesday evening, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.

According to sources, the girl had reportedly been missing for several weeks before she was traced to Parijat Hotel.

After receiving information, police reached the location and brought the girl to safety. The incident drew attention from local residents, who gathered near the hotel and demanded a thorough inquiry. Police later took a suspect into custody for questioning in connection with the matter.
