Biswanath: Assam’s young Wushu player Diksha Tiwari has brought glory to the state by winning three medals for India at the Batumi Open International Wushu Championship 2026 in Georgia.

Representing India at the international championship, Diksha secured two silver medals in Nanquan and Nandao events. She also won a bronze medal in Nanquan, making it a successful outing for the young athlete.

Diksha, who hails from Biswanath in Assam, has emerged as a promising talent in Wushu. Her performance on the international stage has highlighted the growing presence of young athletes from Assam in competitive sports. Her three-medal haul has earned appreciation from sports lovers and is being seen as a proud moment for Biswanath as well as Assam.
