Silchar: The Assam University fraternity on Thursday bid farewell to Controller of Examinations Dr Suprabir Dutta Roy on his superannuation after more than a decade of service to the university.

Dr Dutta Roy assumed charge as Controller of Examinations on May 15, 2015. During his tenure, he played a key role in steering the university’s examination administration with a focus on integrity, administrative discipline and systematic reforms.

The university fraternity acknowledged his contribution in strengthening the examination establishment and guiding it through several challenges and important phases of modernisation.

His structural and administrative contributions to the examination system are expected to remain an important part of Assam University’s institutional framework. His departure from the examination branch marks the end of a significant chapter in his association with the university.
