NAGAON: BJP’s Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll candidate Debashish Sharma added a musical touch to his campaign during a visit to the char areas along the Brahmaputra.

After reaching the river islands by boat, Sharma took out his guitar and performed a Bengali folk song in the presence of local residents. His performance drew the attention of people gathered at the spot.

Sharma, a former Nagaon Deputy Commissioner, is the BJP’s candidate for the October 6 Lok Sabha bypoll.

The campaign visit combined interaction with residents in the char areas with an informal musical performance by the candidate.
