Meeta Dutta, professionally known as Meeta Choudhury Dutta is a well known face from Guwahati, Assam.

She is a social worker, an advocate, a writer, director and an actor.

During Covid she got an opportunity to work for her passion in acting which got stifled earlier due to her long hours at the courts and her chamber, advocacy being her full time profession.

Apart from this, during pre-COVID times, she was also occupied with the activities of her NGO, ‘Together For Change’.

Little had she known about this latent acting and directorial talent of hers until two of her short films she made won prizes for best motivational content. She had not only written the script for these two films but also acted in and directed them too.

Thereafter she was approached by many casting directors and producers for Bollywood projects but being to preoccupied here to be able to move to Mumbai she had to sadly drop the offers.

And there are hardly any production houses so far in Assam which make proper Bollywood/Hindi films for her to pursue. Meanwhile, she worked in a few advertisements, music videos, and short films.

But like they say, no dream is too big when your zeal is inherent and your effort incessant.

PKS Production House from Assam selected her for their maiden Bollywood project ‘The Bihu Attack’.  The movie features Arbaaz Khan, Rahul Dev, Daisy Shah, Raza Murad, Mir Sarvar, Dev Maneria amongst many actors from Bollywood and Assamese film industry.

The movie is all set to hit the theatres around August, 2025.
