Kolkata : In an event organised on the occasion of Acharya Bishnukant Shastri Memorial Lecture, distinguished speakers deliberated on “Relevance of ‘Panch Parivartan’ in the Changing National Perspective” Times at Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Auditorium at Kolkata last Sunday.
The lecture session was presided over by Sisir Bajoria, an industrialist and politician and key speaker was Abhay Mahajan, National Organisation Secretary of Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot. The Lecture was organised under the leadership of Mahaveer Prasad Bajaj and the team of committee members.
Abhay Mahajan, while delivering his lecture, stated that only a change in government cannot change society, but changes in individuals will bring about societal changes. The sacrifices of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, RSS for the last hundred years have brought us today where we are.
The way forward is to remain organised and that is the mantra to being united, he echoed.
Touching upon the topic ‘Panch Parivartan’ as advocated in RSS, Abhay Mahajan explained that due to the invasion of the last thousand years, we have forgotten our Indian culture.
He deliberated upon the concept of village-level activities where it is practised to be self-sufficient and self-reliant. He also spoke about having a ‘Swadeshi’ mindset to build economic growth in the region.
Mahajan questioned what we can transfer to our new generations and traditional values are not being transmitted to our young minds, to which introspection is the need of the hour he said.
He gave various examples where with our behaviour we can transmit our traditional values to the next generations. Mahajan spoke about discipline in children’s lives that needs to be implemented strictly. He cautioned that today’s technology is a two-sided sword.
He expressed sadly that till now we are affected by the caste system in our society. We all are children of one mother and thus there cannot be any difference between anyone.
Nature is for all, and it provides for all but Britishers were the ones who exploited our natural resources. We have to educate that any government resources are people’s property, he explained.
Now is the time for all to take an organised movement to follow our traditional values, Abhay Mahajan echoed. Deendayal Research Institute is taking forward the pending work of Deendayal Upadhaya and Mahajan invited everyone to come to Chitrakoot.
