A long march ahead

To overcome whatever we face in the coming days, one thing is constant and we should mark it in red colour (Bold, Italics &Underline) that we are going to have a long march ahead!

The whole world is under lockdown. We have stopped suddenly. Though we are waking up to the realisation a bit late and at a slower pace, it is difficult for many to understand what is knocking at our doors. As I keep speaking with people from varied fields, it is definitely a situation where we are not yet ready to accept the reality of an impending crisis. It was discussed in many forums that the world can expect something of this kind in days ahead, but it is for the first time that the whole world is experiencing, the cruelty of the likes of Coronavirus.

No one is spared and thus no question of who is helping whom?; who is responsible for what?; I don’t think it has any political angle, neither any conspiracy theory who is responsible for this? The West or the East (China)! It has no meaning. The only thing that matters now is that it has affected everyone, the whole world. And we are caught ill-prepared!

We are yet to accept it but what we should be prepared for is a long, long, I repeat, a long march to overcome the danger. This global pandemic is going to have its ill effects on lives, economy, social and political order. To overcome whatever we face in the coming days, one thing is constant and we should mark it in red colour (BoldItalics & Underline included) that we are going to have a long march ahead!

Just think of the migrants who had started a journey of 100’s of kms, kids in their shoulders, few bags as their wealth, though we are writing and reading about it, the march is equally going to be tough and a long one for all of us.
