2024 will be the the year of General election and the government of the day will be in election mode post-budget session, if not already the mechanism has been started by all the political parties. The recent visit of PM Modi in Assam indicates that only Assam deserves developmental packages looking into peace prevailing in the state.

The Assam Chief minister has not been shy about his government’s achievements and peace prevailing in the state. Tripura is a state which is also progressing with political stability and the humble Chief Minister of Tripura is well in control of the state party politics and governance as of now.

The rest of Northeastern states also equally need attention with Mizoram having a new Government more attention by the Centre on the development issues the need of the hour. The border infiltration and the stand taken by the Mizoram government is a delicate situation that the Centre government has to handle delicately and solve the issue quickly.

Naga Peace talk is yet to materialise and the Government of India has to take a call to solve the issue once and for all. People in general are for a peaceful co-existence and are looking forward to education and employment with a focus on economic growth. self-sustenance is the new buzz word and entrepreneurship is the new vision of the youth of the region that needs more fuel from the society at large.

The most important challenge of the Government of India is the Manipur crisis and how it handles the stakeholders and brings back normalcy will be the biggest challenge of the Governments of the day. Though there is no big light in the tunnel we can only hope that post-election, the Governments both at the Centre and the State can come out with a solution that may peacefully solve the problem. Right now what is the real issue I think both the state government as well as centre have started to openly accept that the illegal infiltration across the border is a challenge that needs to be handled with an iron hand.
