What are the big hurry and the sky will not fall, if the farm bills are taken back and a new task force is constituted to overcome all the concerns, deliberate, discuss and engage with the stakeholders?

Supreme Court has come down very strongly against the Union government’s handling the farmer’s protest. It has opined that the farm laws be kept in abeyance till a proper assessment and deliberations with the stakeholder is taken up.

Now, this is the general of feelings of any citizen looking into the determination of the farmers. The protest is spreading across the country and the Supreme Court has taken a very strong note on the number of deaths taken place in the protest.

It also reflects that the government of the day is not a flexible one, that it is not listening to the call of the day and is seen as a bullying one. Why can an elected government accept the demand of a protesting farmer who has already shown their determination, discipline and apolitical fabric.

Why is it that a Government cannot accede and rather making it an ego issue not abe to be empathetic? Governments are not there because of some people but for the masses.

What are the big hurry and the sky will not fall, if the farm bills are taken back and a new task force is constituted to overcome all the concerns, deliberate, discuss and engage with the stakeholders?

One ‘Babu’ had already commented that our country is facing the problem of ‘too much democracy’, well then what you want an autocracy experimented by a failed President called Donald Trump ? It would be unfair to co-relate our leader with Trump but it is equally true that when you bulldoze anything, democracy doesn’t allow the iron-fisted leaders. We do not need ‘Iron Man’ or the big-chested one. Governance is not about ‘machoness’ but more about ’empathy’ and ‘deliverables’.

Now that Supreme Court has taken a position, the people are silently observing and absorbing. For many, they see a light in the tunnel…
