Guwahati: Sibasish Sandilya, an Assam Forest Service officer who had topped the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) examination, has been arrested on charges of bribery.

Sandilya, currently posted as a Forest Ranger in Lakhimpur, was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting Rs.12,000 from a dumper truck owner at his official residence.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings, and further investigation into the case is underway.
