Silchar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Cachar district unit, organized an art competition at its district office on Saturday to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. The event saw enthusiastic participation from young artists who expressed their patriotism and creativity through paintings inspired by the spirit of Vande Mataram and India’s freedom movement.

District BJP president Rupam Saha, along with several party members and local dignitaries, attended the programme and encouraged the participants. Saha highlighted the cultural and historical significance of Vande Mataram, calling it a timeless symbol of national pride and unity.Prizes were distributed to winners, and all participants received certificates of appreciation.
