Transfers Several Senior IAS and ACS Officers

Guwahati: The Assam government has carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and reassigning several senior IAS and ACS officers across key departments and district administrations.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel on June 24, the reshuffle includes fresh postings in departments such as Finance, Home, Agriculture, Environment and Forest, Skill Development, and Education.

The administrative changes also involve the transfer of several district commissioners in districts including Hojai, Dhubri, Cachar, Barpeta, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Majuli, Morigaon, Udalguri and others.

The government stated that the transfers and postings have been made in the interest of public service and will take effect immediately.

The reshuffle is expected to bring changes in administrative leadership across multiple departments and districts as the state government continues its governance and development initiatives.
