Guwahati: Assam’s rising actress Bhairavi Deka has made a strong start in the South Indian film industry with the commercial success of her debut Telugu romantic film Katha Malluko, which was released on June 12.

A resident of Pakarkona village near Singimari in Kamrup district, Bhairavi returned home to a warm and emotional welcome from her family, friends, and villagers after the film’s success.

Speaking to the media, Bhairavi said that determination, hard work, and dedication helped her overcome language barriers while working in the Telugu film industry. She expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her journey and encouraged young artists from Assam to pursue their dreams with confidence.

Building on the success of her debut, Bhairavi has already signed two Tamil films and is looking forward to expanding her career further. She also expressed her desire to work in Bollywood and contribute to the Assamese film industry in the future.

Her achievement has become a source of pride for Assam and is expected to inspire many aspiring actors and artists across the Northeast to dream beyond regional boundaries.
