Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced that it will provide duplicate copies of essential academic documents free of cost to students affected by the recent floods in Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts.
According to an official notification issued by the board, the special relief measure is intended to help students who lost their important educational documents during the floods.
The facility covers duplicate Pass Certificates, Admit Cards, Marksheets and Registration Cards related to the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), Assam High Madrassa (AHM) and Higher Secondary Final Examinations.
ASSEB said the initiative has been taken to ensure that flood-affected students do not face difficulties in continuing their education or applying for higher studies and other academic purposes due to the loss of their documents.
Eligible students from the affected districts can apply for duplicate documents under this special provision without paying any fee.
