Preparation for general election 2024 in Karbi Anglong district is approximately completed; total voters, female 1, 82,813 male, 1 79,305 total 3, 62,118 for Karbi Anglong election District.

For Diphu reserve constituency, total voters, male 445084 female 447705 Total 892789. Total Polling Stations 448 Twenty polling stations have been identified as women polling stations under Karbi Anglong election district and two polling stations only for young and aged women.

Model Polling stations, nine, and this time total polling personnel including polling officers and micro observers, male 2212 and female 142, total 2354. The Final Phase of training of the polling party was completed on 20th April. Total form 1261 numbers of Postal Ballot has been collected.

For Home voting total postal ballot casted is 355 numbers. Planning for movement, storage and security of EVMs and VVPATs at polling stations, polled strong rooms etc have already been completed. Preparation of marked copy of electoral roll is completed.

For polling personnel transportation arrangements including heavy motor vehicle, mini bus, small truck, large trucks, and recovery van has been finished, 264 heavy motor vehicles and 162 numbers of light motor vehicles have been kept in full readiness.

For this election police is using194 numbers of light motor vehicles and 208 numbers of other assorted automobiles. 41 micro observers have been deployed in 53 Polling stations.
