Agartala : The prestigious TripuraInfo Mega Quiz 2025 commenced on Sunday on a deeply emotional note, as organizers and participants observed a minute’s silence in memory of several eminent personalities who had been closely associated with the event and the TripuraInfo family over the years.

The TripuraInfo Mega Quiz 2025 was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Prof (Dr.) Manik Saha, who lauded the organizers for their continued efforts in promoting intellectual engagement through the annual event.

Sharing his thoughts, Dr. Saha said he was delighted to be part of such a grand quiz competition. “I have been attending this event for the last two years, and it’s truly heart-warming to see so many enthusiastic participants,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister commended Jayanta Debnath, Editor and Managing Director of TripuraInfo.com, for his vision and leadership in sustaining the Mega Quiz’s legacy. Emphasizing the importance of mental exercise for overall growth and development, Dr. Saha encouraged the organizers to expand the event’s reach by inviting participants from other states in the coming years.

The tribute honored Pradip Datta Bhowmik, News Editor of a leading daily and a long-time supporter of the Quiz; Mrinmoy Chowdhury, partner of Kalika Jewellers, Agartala; Tapesh Debnath, a renowned contractor from Shibnagar; Venerable Ramkrishna Das, a respected Buddhist monk and former student of MBB College; and Late Jyotsna Debnath, mother of Jayanta Debnath.

Each of them had contributed significantly to the event’s growth over the years, helping transform it into one of Tripura’s most anticipated state-level quiz competitions. Their encouragement and association, the organizers said, remain deeply woven into the spirit of the event.

The presence of family members of the departed personalities added to the poignancy of the moment. The atmosphere turned solemn and reflective as participants, organizers, and audience members joined together in paying their respects.

With this moving gesture, the TripuraInfo family reaffirmed its commitment to carry forward the legacy, values, and vision of those who had helped shape the Mega Quiz into what it is today — a celebration of knowledge, camaraderie, and community spirit.
