May Draw Blank in Bengal: Amit Shah

KRC TIMES National Bureau

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, April 22, claimed that the Congress is headed for its “biggest defeat ever” in Assam and may fail to open its account in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

Addressing an election rally at Dum Dum near New Barrackpore, Shah said the party is likely to face a major setback across several states. He asserted that in Assam, the Congress would suffer an unprecedented loss, while in West Bengal it could struggle to secure even a single seat.

Shah also suggested that the Congress may perform poorly in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, indicating a broader decline in the party’s electoral prospects. Taking a swipe at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said her association with the Congress would further weaken her political standing.

The remarks come amid intensified campaigning ahead of key Assembly elections, with political parties stepping up their attacks on rivals.
