In a significant move the people of Dima Hasao in general demanded the Bharatiya Janata Party candidature from Dima Hasao.

People are of the opinion that since the independence, no people’s representative from Dima Hasao could represent in the parliament as no any political party field candidate from Dima Hasao for the parliamentary election except once by BJP. Therefore they urged the party high command to field a candidate from Dima Hasao for the upcoming Parliamentary election.

Justifying their desire of fielding candidate from Dima Hasao they said as no party field their candidate from Dima Hasao, voice of Dima Hasao people yet to reach parliament though we have achieved our independence long 75 years back. If the BJP’s slogan of ‘Sabka sath, sabka bikash and sabka biswas’ to be believed the Bharatiya Janata Party which has made Congress free Dima Hasao in the recent council election then BJP party should field their candidate from Dima Hasao this time in the upcoming parliamentary election.

People of Dima Hasao also expect to nominate the candidate of Lok Sabha from Dima Hasao District this time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
