A Civic Action Programme was conducted by 86 Battalion CRPF for the villagers of Longmai Part-II under Noney District of Manipur under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IG Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF and by the supervision of Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant-86 Battalion CRPF. The programme was attended by Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant-86 Bn, other Officers of 86 Bn CRPF, Chairman and Chief of Longmai Part-II village.

During the Civic Action Programme Solar Street lights were distributed to the needy villagers. In the context of the Civic action programme, a meeting was held with the villagers of Longmai Part-II village where the villagers requested Commandant-86 Battalion to provide Solar Street lights as there is an acute problem of electricity during monsoon due to non-availability of proper electricity in the village.

Given the problems faced by the villager Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant-86 Bn CRPF distributed Solar Street lights to the villagers who were reeling under darkness due to the non-availability of proper electricity, at least got solar lights which will surely solve many problems.

Chief Guest Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant-86 Bn CRPF while addressing the gathering expressed that this kind of programme was conducted to extend help to the needy area for worthy utilization of the govt. grant meant for the purpose. These items were distributed solely in the interest of local villagers to fulfil requirements and to maintain the cordial relation between security forces and local people so that villagers would get the light of the development and prosperity.

In this programme Chief of the village & public of this area applauded such a beneficial initiative of 86 Bn CRPF and extended their immense gratitude with the hope of many more similar beneficial events in the coming future. The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by the Chief of the village.
