Manipur Govt Issues Strict Directives

Imphal : A high-level review meeting was held at the State Secretariat today, chaired by Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, with senior officials assessing the current safety and security measures along National Highways.

The meeting focused on strengthening mechanisms to ensure safe and smooth movement of people and goods across the State. Officials discussed key concerns related to disruptions and reviewed strategies to improve coordination among departments.
During the meeting, clear directives were issued to take firm action against disruptive and unruly elements that threaten highway security. Authorities were instructed to ensure that such activities are contained effectively to maintain uninterrupted transit.
The government reiterated that protection of life and public safety remains a top priority. It also stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability, while building public confidence through timely and decisive action. Officials said efforts will continue to enhance security measures and keep highways safe for all users.
