Silchar: Young Manipuri Council, Assam (YMCA) and the Manipuri Autonomous Council Demand Coordination Committee Assam (MACCOCOM) felicitated Irom Chinglembi for emerging as the NEET UG 2026 topper from Barak Valley.

Chinglembi, daughter of Irom Sarat and Irom Sunita, secured an impressive 636 marks out of 720 in the national medical entrance examination.

The felicitation programme was held at Hotel Shangai in Modhurapool, Silchar, on July 24, where she was presented with traditional gifts and mementoes in recognition of her outstanding achievement.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of YMCA, MACCOCOM and Chinglembi’s coaching institute congratulated her on her success. They praised her hard work and dedication and expressed confidence that she would continue to excel in her academic journey and bring pride to the region.

The event was attended by members of the Manipuri community, well-wishers and representatives of various organisations, who wished the young achiever success in her future endeavours.
