Diphu : One Md. Mainul Hak Choudhary aged around fifty five years was caught red-handed by the villagers while mole-stating a three years old girl in absence of her parents on last Thursday.

The monstrous incident took place in village Mohindijua around twenty five kilometers from Diphu. According to the eyewitnesses and villagers while Md. Mainul Hak Choudhary was molesting the child after stripping her; they noticed the incident and rescued the child. Enraged villagers gathered in the place of incident and thrashed the accused Mainul Hak Choudhary.

The incident was informed to Manja police who later took custody of the accused and sent him for treatment to Diphu Medical College and Hospital. After the incident till 9.00 pm yesterday night no case was registered by the police, however as the matter spread, local residents and civil organizations interfered, ultimately police received an FIR from the parents of the victim and embarked on other formalities.

The villagers have alleged that the same person was caught in a similar incident around five years back and he managed to escape at the intervention of his family and partly due to the leniency of the village body that didn’t take the matter to the police.
