NEWS 1 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to those who drafted the country’s constitution. Today, in a function organized on the occasion of National Constitution Day, he paid respect to the authors of the constitution and said that they have given the direction to the country with the constitution. We must continue to protect the dignity of the Constitution he echoed.

NEWS 2- There is a food crisis in Meghalaya it is feared. As no vehicles from Assam could enter Meghalaya, there is a food crisis in that state. Huge queues are seen in front of various petrol pumps. As the situation is still not normal, the Meghalaya government has extended the internet ban in the state for another 48 hours.

The Assam government has blocked all traffic on the Meghalaya border at Jorabat and Katigora. Vehicle drivers staged a protest at Katigora in Cachar today. They claim that if Assam vehicles cannot go to Meghalaya, why should Meghalaya vehicles come to Assam?

NEWS 3- Barak Democratic Front has called for a silent movement across Barak from 6 pm to 6:30 pm on December 1 if the job problem of Barak’s unemployed is not resolved. BDF supremo Pradeep Dutta Roy informed about this decision in the civic meeting held in Silchar today and said that if no decision is taken regarding the employment of Barak’s children in the cabinet meeting then on December 1 there will be movement.

The people of Barak expressed their anger through the 18 November Barak bandh. This comment was made by Pradeep Datta Roy.

NEWS 4 – An uproar has started over a statement by yoga guru Ramdev. While coaching in a free yoga camp in Maharashtra, he said women love wearing sarees. I like the salwar. And in my opinion, it is best to wear nothing. Ramdev’s statement caused a strong reaction.

NEWS 5- 74th Constitution Day Celebration was commemorated by Barak Nagarik Sangsad at Silchar Assam. On Saturday, the 74th Constitution Day was celebrated at Silchar Press Club.

The members of the Nagarik Sangsad gave a civil reception to Mihirlal Roy, a leading warrior and social thinker in the language movement of 1986. A discussion meeting was also held on the occasion

In the meeting discussions were deliberated by poet and journalist Atin Das, professor Niranjan Dutta, CRPC leader Sadhan Purkayastha, UTDC president Sanjit Debnath, poet Shatadal Acharya, Mihirlal Roy and chief secretary of Nagarik Sangsad Shankar Dey were present in the program and discussion meeting.

NEWS 6– ‘Humans of Silchar’ socio organisation demanded a special financial package for a permanent drainage system including flood prevention in Silchar.

The United Forum of Humans of Silchar, eighteen NGOs of Silchar called a press conference on Saturday and drew the attention of the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma.

On this day, the representative of United Forum Humans of Silchar, President Surjit Som, Milap editor Sucharita Dhar, Human Life Foundation’s Soumitra Dutta Roy, Sammilit Sanshikari Manch’s Joydeep Chakraborty, and others said that the matter should be raised in the Silchar cabinet meeting of the state government and a permanent solution should be taken.

In the press conference on this day NGOs Sparsh, Bihaan, Awaaz, Smile, Silchar Milap, Young Minded Organization Dhaga, Thousand Sayantam, Sakham, Barak Valley Welfare Development Society, Joy Radhe Seva Samiti, Subir and Friends, Life Line Foundation, Anand Kriti, Udayer Pathe, Leo Club of Future Central, Netaji Chhatra Yuva Sangstha, Ecoalarmist, YMO, etc. representatives were present.
