Biren echoed that he is hopeful that the State would be equally able to execute the plan successfully

Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh launched the Manipur Vision 2047 at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Wednesday. The Government was working on it for the last eight months under the guidance of the Central Government informed the Chief Minister

Manipur Vision 2047 is expected to serve as a decisive road map for the State’s rapid and sustainable growth over the next 25 years. The vision shall primarily serve as a guide for Government Departments and development partners as they plan specific development initiatives for the state.

Chief Minister Biren on the occasion also launched the CM Dashboard, the Website of the Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Department, and the Online Vigilance Certificate Portal.

Biren believes that Vision 2047 included details on attaining self-sustainability through Atmanirbhar Bharat, employment generation, and development of the agriculture sector and other sectors among others.

He also mentioned the projects of Ring Road, Liklang Pareng, and Border Road which aim for better connectivity throughout the State.

While thanking state officials for the Vision 2047 document which would lead the present generation in making a better Manipur for the future generation, he also thanked the India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL) for making the State one of the first States to bring out a vision document for the next 25 years. Biren echoed that he is hopeful that the State would be equally able to execute the plan successfully.

It may be mentioned that the Online Vigilance Certificate Portal launched today will streamline the process of issuing of Vigilance Certificate which will result in cost, time, and manpower saving for the Government. Further, an employee can also track his or her application online. The portal would help remove corruption, increase transparency and improve service delivery by leveraging information technology.

The CM Dashboard will show the details of real time view of the progress of schemes and will also help the State in quick and more effective decision making. It will also improve transparency and allow citizens to know the progress of schemes and other developmental works.

Power Minister Biswajit Singh, MAHUD Minister Yumnam Khemchand, Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Textiles, Commerce and Industry Minister Nemcha Kipgen, Tribal Affairs & Hills Minister Letpao Haokip, Social Welfare Minister Heikham Dingo, Transport Minister Khasim Vashum, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Senior Government Officials and representatives of IIFCL Projects Limited also attended the launching programme among others.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also released a coffee table book by the Department of Information Technology titled “Evolution of eOFFICE in Manipur”     

Stressing the need for proper planning before carrying out certain activities, he added that the Manipur Vision 2047 had been placed for knowledge of the people of Manipur in connection with the celebration of 75 years of Indian Independence.
