Mobile Internet services have been restored in all inter-districts because of the improving law and order situation and also forthcoming Lok Sabha elections slated on April 19 and April 26 in the state.

 In an order, Manipur Chief Secretary Dr. Vineet Joshi states that reinstallation of the mobile Internet services has been provided in the stretch of two km radius along adjoining areas between districts of Chandel and Kakching, Churachandpur and Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Kakching, Kangpokpi and Imphal West, Kangpokpi and Imphal East, Kangpokpi and Thoubal and Tengnopual and Kakching districts.

 The suspensions were made under Rule 2 of Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services, (Public Emergency or Public Safety) Rules, 2017.

 It also appeals to all internet users to refrain from activities that may cause situations that warrant suspension of interest services in the future.
