National Generic Document Registration System Launched in Mizoram

Mizoram is among the trailblazer state to initiate the implementation of NGDRS, 6th  among all other state and 2nd among North eastern state.

Launching programme of National Generic Document Registration System was held at Cultural Hall, State Guest House, Chaltlang, Aizawl on 6th September where Tawnluia, Dy Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lalruatkima, Minister, Land Revenue & Settlement Department and Ruolkhumlien Buhril, Secretary, Govt. of India attended the function.

Tawnluia, Dy Chief Minister pointed out various hurdles in conducting and delivering services to the public, requiring several interfaces at different levels. The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that the launching of National Generic Document Registration System will help overcome many of these obstacles and will aid tremendously in building and maintaining good governance in the state.

Land Revenue & Settlement Minister Lalruatkima also mentioned that there are several land disputes which arises due to improper or lack of good registering system. He said that these NGDRS will help solved those problems and also hope that this registering system will be an effective tools in implementing the state government flagship programme, Socio economic development policy.

Ruolkhumlien Buhril, Secretary, Govt. of India indicated that Mizoram is among the trailblazer state to initiate the implementation of NGDRS, 6th  among all other state and 2nd among North eastern state.

R Lalramnghaka, Special Secretary delivered the welcome speech, Lalmuanpuia Deputy Director and Dr RK Das, State Informatics Officer gave powerpoint presentation on NGDRS. Hukum Singh Meena, , Jt Secretary also attended the function while Neeta Verma, Director General and her team observed the launching programme from Director General Office, NIC Delhi.
