Says CM Manik Saha Amid Fuel-Saving Measures

KRC TIMES NE Desk

Agartala : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on May 14 clarified that the state government has no plans to impose a lockdown despite recently introducing fuel-saving measures in government offices.

The clarification came a day after the state government directed departments to allow 50 per cent of Group C and Group D employees to work from home with immediate effect.

Speaking to reporters, Saha said the government had adopted a hybrid work system only as a precautionary step to reduce “unnecessary fuel consumption” amid concerns over possible supply chain disruptions.

“There is no plan to impose lockdown in the state,” the Chief Minister said while assuring the public that the situation remains under control. The state government’s move had sparked speculation about possible restrictions, but officials maintained that the measures were purely administrative and aimed at conserving fuel resources.

The hybrid work arrangement is expected to continue temporarily as the government monitors the overall situation and supply conditions in the state.
