Silchar: Barak Valley is set to witness a significant political and developmental event as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the region on a one-day tour on Saturday, during which he will lay the foundation stone for several development projects.

Ahead of the visit, officials and political leaders inspected the programme venue at Budhurail on the Silchar Bypass (Ramnagar) and reviewed the final preparations. The inspection focused on ensuring that all arrangements for the Prime Minister’s programme are completed smoothly.
Among those present during the inspection were minister Kaushik Rai, Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, Silchar MP Parimal Suklabaidya, former MLA Dilip Kumar Paul, BJP leader Gopal Kanti Roy and entrepreneur Vivek Podder.
The leaders also reviewed the last-minute arrangements and stressed the importance of ensuring that the programme is conducted successfully.
The Prime Minister’s visit is expected to mark an important moment for Barak Valley, with several development initiatives set to be launched for the region.
